Traveling to Cambodia got much easier for Dutch citizens with the introduction of an e-Visa by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia in 2006. A Cambodian e-Visa is an official visa to Cambodia, obtainable online with a few straightforward steps.
Dutch citizens can apply for a Cambodia visa online if the purpose of their travel is tourism: exploring the country, going on vacation, visiting family members and friends, or transiting to another country.
A Cambodia visa permits one to stay in the country for up to 30 days. The validity period lasts 90 days and begins from the moment of issue, however, even if you enter the country on the last day of the validity period, you still will be able to spend in Cambodia the entire 30 days.
The application process is intuitive and speedy: fill out the form, pay the fees, and wait for the approved electronic visa to be delivered to your email address. So what are you waiting for? Learn more information here, and be ready to start applying for your visa today!

Validity period and the permitted stay
The Cambodia visa is a single-entry permit, which means that it allows Dutch citizens to visit Cambodia only once, and after that one visit, you won’t be able to use it again unless you obtain a new one.
The e-Visa to Cambodia is issued for 90 days, but you can stay in the country only for up to 30 days if you enter within the validity period. Make sure your passport stays effective, as, in case of its expiration, the online visa becomes invalid even if 90 days of validity period haven’t passed yet.
Cambodia visa requirements for Dutch citizens
Similar to regular visas, an e-Visa to Cambodia also has its eligibility criteria. But the requirements are, in general, shorter and much quicker to fulfill.
Before applying for a Cambodia visa from the Netherlands, please review Cambodia electronic visa conditions.
Requirements to apply online
As the electronic visa application process doesn’t require you to be present in an embassy personally, you need to meet these technical requirements:
- you must have a stable internet connection
- your device (a laptop, tablet, phone, or PC) is working properly and won’t cause issues when you are submitting the form or making payment
- you can use an online payment method – a PayPal account, PayU, or a debit/credit card
- the funds in your payment account must be enough to cover the tourist visa fees
Necessary documents
Cambodia doesn’t request from Dutch citizens a large set of documents. Only two items need to be attached:
- bio-data page of your effective Dutch passport (it mustn’t expire within a minimum of 180 days from the date you intend to enter Cambodia)
- your face photograph – it’s fine if you have pictures from a photographer, but photos taken by a regular smartphone or webcam are also accepted
- On-arrival requirements for Dutch citizens
- When you arrive in Cambodia, you’ll need to present your valid passport and a paper copy of your Cambodia tourist visa. Also, it is extremely important to choose exclusively the ports of entry that support eVisas:
Airports:
- Phnom Penh International Airport
- Siem Reap International Airport
- Sihanouk International Airport
Border crossing points:
- Cham Yeam (Koh Kong Province) when entering from Thailand
- Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey Province) when entering from Thailand
